Incandescenze e Maree (Incandescences and Tides) will be the next exhibition hosted in the spaces of Via Caravaggio, curated by Martina Cioffi. Already featured in previous exhibitions, Cioffi returns both as artist and curator, inviting seven artists to join her in dialogue: Luca Armigero, Marco Emmanuele, Michela Longone, Claudia Mangone, Aran Ndimurwanko, Marco Paganini, and Emma Scarafiotti.
The group exhibition Incandescences and Tides explores the dialogue between two primordial and complementary forces: fire and water—elements of transformation and creation. Through the works on display, the exhibition space becomes a site of continuous metamorphosis, where matter and energy meet, clash, and redefine one another. Incandescence evokes primordial heat, the tension of matter that burns and consumes itself, leaving traces of smoke and ash. Tides, by contrast, symbolize the ceaseless movement of water, its power to shape and transform through an unstoppable, cyclical rhythm. These two dimensions, seemingly opposite, intertwine in a visual narrative made of unstable balances, attraction and dissolution, energy and stillness.
Incandescences and Tides is an immersive journey into the precariousness of form, into the tension between elements, into the constant evolution of matter. Nothing is static, nothing remains the same: each work is part of an endless flow in which time moves and returns, leaving ever-changing marks.
