Alterazioni
Alterazioni is an artistic and cultural project dedicated to the theme of mental health.
The project was developed in collaboration with twelve mental health centres across Italy, from Sicily to Piedmont. Within these contexts, people receiving care were invited to create artworks, which are now preserved in a permanent digital archive.
Through a national open call for artists under the age of 30 (as well as students enrolled in public and private Academies of Fine Arts across Italy), emerging artists were invited to engage with these works, fostering a dialogue between contemporary artistic research and practices of care, in which art becomes a space for listening, connection, and transformation.
Following the many applications received from across Italy, the selected artists and participants in the collective exhibition have now been announced.
YAG Almanac| Open call
YAG Almanac is conceived as a permanent platform for documenting emerging artistic research. Through an Almanac Sheet, each artist presents a visual and narrative snapshot of their most recent work.
Each year, YAG will invite emerging artists to participate in the Almanac, including through a national open call.
Following the many applications received from across Italy, the selected artists and the participants in the first edition’s group exhibition have now been announced. The 2025 Almanac Sheets digital archive is also available online, bringing together this year’s contributions and reflecting the diversity of languages, perspectives, and artistic paths shaping Italy’s emerging contemporary art scene.
