Young Artist in the Hotel

YAG/garage, in collaboration with San Servolo Servizi, presents YOUNG ARTIST IN THE HOTEL, a project conceived with the aim of offering six artists from the gallery the opportunity to exhibit their works in the prestigious spaces of San Servolo. On the occasion of the 2018 Architecture Biennale, San Servolo Servizi, through the Venice Innovation Design initiative, entrusted leading companies in the fields of furnishings and design with the task of restyling six rooms, the reception area, and other spaces within the complex.

This year, on the occasion of the 58th International Art Exhibition, six YAG/garage artists—Dario Agati, Martina Cioffi, Daniele Di Girolamo, Matteo Messori, Marco Smacchia, and Manuel Tatasciore —will exhibit one of their works inside each of the renovated environments at San Servolo. The aim is both to enhance the exclusivity of the spaces and to allow guests staying in these rooms the opportunity to privately appreciate the beauty and value of the artworks.

At the same time, in the San Servolo cafeteria, additional works by the same artists—featuring subjects almost identical to those displayed in the rooms—will be exhibited to the public and available for purchase.
