Valentina Aceto

Valentina Aceto, born in 1993 in the province of Asti, is a sculptor and visual artist active in Italy. Graduated from the Art Institute and graduated with honors in Painting from the Abruzzo Academy, she won the Academy Award – Sculpture Section at the Cairo Art Prize 2015 with a work in black marble from Ormea, characterized by voids-silence and sophisticated shadows. Her practice explores the dialogue between figure and abstraction, between primordial material and exhibition space, emphasizing the sensory quality of marble and the relationships between fullness and emptiness. Her work, suspended between tradition and experimentation, weaves formal sensitivity and poetic breath.
