Marika Alonzi was born on April 27, 1996, in Sora (FR) and graduated from the “A. Valente” Art High School in 2015. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome. Her research focuses on mixed media techniques, using ha ndmade cotton paper, vinyl paint, acetate, and embossing to create delicate series such as Esagoni, Ali, and Favi. She employs embossing and acrylic gold to enhance the material and sensory qualities of the surfaces.
Her works—often of intimate format—invite reflection on nature, form, and texture. She has participated in exhibitions and projects promoted by YAG/Garage, establishing herself as an emerging talent in the contemporary scene. She lives and works in Rome, where she continues to pursue a refined and experimental body of work.
