Simone Camerlengo

Simone Camerlengo (born in 1989 in Pescara) is a painter and urban installation artist trained at the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila, with an Erasmus experience at the Academy of Bilbao. He lives and works in Pescara, where in 2019 he co-founded the project space SenzaBagno with other local artists.
His poetics are rooted in street art and writing but have evolved toward an essential and gestural pictorial mark, as seen in his “monoline” painting style. He has exhibited personal projects such as Non Narrativo (2023, Ottica Servadio, Pescara) and Cosa spinge questo tratto? (2017, The Urban Box) – both characterized by childlike marks and free compositions. In 2022, he took part in the group show Fino a tardi in Bologna with SenzaBagno, presenting a refined dialogue between domestic and performative spac e. In 2024, he was selected for Stills of Peace XI (Italy–Mexico), promoted by Fondazione ARIA. His research explores the tension between urban instinct and contemplative painting, investing the mark as a medium for narrating everyday life.
