Born in 1976 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Bogdan Cota studied chemistry and biology in English at the Gheorghe Sincai Theoretical High School, and earned a degree in Economics with a specialization in “International Trading” from Babeș-Bolyai University. He later began a Master’s in Business Administration at Aarhus Business School in Denmark, which he did not complete in order to work at Financial Times Interactive Data in Dublin, Ireland. He returned to Romania to work in construction and began establishing c ontacts in Italy for mosaics and Venetian style terrazzo flooring. He has worked in Germany, Austria, and Italy. In 2018, he began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome under the guidance of Professor Alessandra Porfida. His decision to pursue an artistic career came through a series of dreams, during which he felt accompanied by the spirit of Constantin Brâncuși.
