Martina Di Gennaro

Martina Di Gennaro is a Neapolitan artist and researcher (1994) who lives and works in Rome. After graduating in Painting and Art Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, she furthered her training by participating in workshops on experimental engraving, ceramics, screen printing, art therapy, and drawing. She is currently a subject expert for the courses in Graphics and Woodcut at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, and since 2023 she has been a tenured teacher of Graphic and Pictorial Disciplines. Her artistic practice focuses mainly on printmaking techniques, including woodcut, monotype, and intaglio engraving. Her works explore themes such as memory, identity, and the relationship between the individual and space. For example, her project Anatomia di un rifugio (2019) is an artist's book combining gum print and embroidery on canvas, investigating the relationship between body and environment.
