Alexandra Fongaro, born in New Jersey in 1993, lives and works in Rome as a visual artist.
Her research explores the boundaries between nature, body, and vision through painting, installation, and performance.
In her works, she uses water-based media on canvas, paper, and hair, evoking images poised between apocalypse and salvation.
In 2021, she created the performance "Everyone Deserves Something Delicious" with RUFA, reflecting on food as a tension between the internal and the external. She won the “Arte in Costruzione” call with an urban installation on the arboreal memory of Rome.
She has exhibited in the two -person show "Pinocchio Was a Girl" at Curva Pura and in recent exhibitions such as Parco delle Stelle and Dolomiti Contemporanea.
Her poetics leave empty spaces, inviting viewers to project meanings onto vegetal -bodies suspended between lightness and depth.
