Matteo Giagnacovo (Milan, 1986) is a visual artist trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied with Stefano Pizzi and assisted Italo Chiodi. Since 2012, he has collaborated with Studio d’Arte Cannaviello, taking part in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Flash Art Event 2013 and the exhibition series "Nuova Pittura Italiana." His painterly practice, which employs oil pastels and mixed media on paper, is characterized by robust textures, vibrant colors, and subjects dra wn from the natural bestiary, evocative of mystical auras. He has exhibited in significant residencies and solo shows: Rome (Spazio Aquadro, 2014), Cremona (Interno 18, 2013 and 2017), Vicenza (Luoghi, oltre, 2018), and Linz (M&K Galerie, 2015). In 2018, h e received an award at the Morlotti-Imbersago for his contemporary vision of narrative landscape. He is part of YAG/GARAGE Italia, a platform dedicated to emerging talents from the Lombardy and Marche regions. His painting, with instinctive gestures and a vibrant presence, intertwines reality and a primordial vision to invite both emotion and poetic reflection.
