Alessia Fratini

Alessia Fratini trained in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, working primarily with clay, an ancient and deeply tactile material. Her research focuses on developing organic forms that emerge from emptiness, intertwining layers of thought and narrative. Her sculptures evoke natural landscapes such as craters or tides, but they also transform into everyday objects or plant elements, creating multiple readings. This dialogue between the organic and the conceptual produces an emotional effect t hat accompanies the viewer. In 2016, she created her first environmental work, Quiescenza, in the Giardino dei Semplici, opening new paths for her research. The following year, she won the “I Giardini d’Arte di Via Caravaggio” Prize with the installation Landscape, which was permanently acquired. Alessia stands out for her ability to merge sculpture and nature into a poetic and courageous narrative.
