Angelo Pisano

Angelo Pisano was born in Naples in 1991.
In 2010, he graduated from the Liceo Artistico Statale in Naples, and in 2019 earned his Second -Level Diploma in Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, where he refined his engraving techniques under the guidance of Professor Erminia Mitrano, thanks to whom he learned to adapt his mark to various printmaking processes. He currently serves as Cultore della materia (subject expert) for Professor Mitrano’s Printmaking course.
Pisano takes part in national exhibitions and competitions, including: Mirror Face to Face 2021 – Italian and Serbian Artists in Exhibition, Galleria di Belle Arti Contemporanee Niš (Niš, Serbia); X Rassegna Internazionale di Incisione di Cremona. La Biennale (by invitation only), curated by Vladimiro Elvieri – Centro Culturale di Santa Maria della Pietà, Cremona; Imago Mundi Luciano Benetton Collection BEHINDtheFRAMES at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Rome; 10th Premio Internazionale Biennale d’Incisione “Città di Monsummano Terme”, Museo di Arte Contemporanea e del Novecento, Villa Renatico Martini; Premio Acqui 2017 – XIII Biennale Internazionale per l’Incisione, Castello dei Paleologi – Camminamento.
He is the winner of the Segni svelati competition—Graphic works for the Cappella Sansevero —a project initiated in 2015 through a collaboration between the Museo Cappella Sansevero and the Printmaking School of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. The winning work was printed in an edition of 5 0 signed and numbered copies (1/50) plus 10 artist’s proofs, hand-printed by Pisano himself at the Scuderie di Palazzo Sansevero, Piazza S. Domenico Maggiore, Naples.
