Dangyoung Liu is a visual artist originally from China, working internationally across installation and sculpture. His language combines tradition and innovation: in 2021 he was invited to the SAVE Biennale – Arte Contemporanea per un nuovo Mondo in Brindisi, bringing a transnational perspective to the group exhibition.
In 2022 he took part in the group show Fuori/Cromia at YAG/Garage in Pescara, contributing a work inspired by the symbolic dialogue between black and white. His growing recognition is also linked to his participation in symposia such as Arctic Art Week in Finland (2023), where he created the wooden sculpture Follow my hand, integrated into the Lapland natural environment.
Liu’s poetics explore organic forms and gesture, blending elements of Asian culture with Western contexts. Although still young, his works have already been exhibited across several continents, reflecting an expanding artistic practice that brings traditional materials into dialogue with contemporary concepts.
