Daniele Caggiano was born in Fano in March 1993 and trained at the Academy of Fine Arts of Urbino, where he completed a Master’s degree in Publishing and Illustration for Printmaking. He has exhibited in group shows such as Ogni goccia cade in Pereto and Il Crepaccio Instagram Show, curated by Caroline Corbetta.
His painting—often in oil on paper or canvas—draws inspiration from poetry and music, reinterpreting readings and listening experiences into personal compositions. He enjoys working with unconventional compositional structures and plays of light and shadow that evoke landscapes and even medieval weapons. His small-format works explore the emotional distance between things and their possible symbolic proximity.
Among his more recent pieces, Lacrime senza corpo and Self portrait with burntsky (2022) illustrate his sensory and metaphorical approach. He currently lives and works in Urbino, continuing his artistic journey between illustration, painting, and graphic art.
