Davide Gualtieri (Rome, 1973) is a photographer and contemporary artist whose research focuses on the poetics of movement, capturing blurred, diaphanous human figures that evoke theatrical bodies and suspended moments. He holds a degree in Literature with a specialization in Theatre History and a master’s in Therapeutic Arts, and began his career as a theatre director before turning his attention to photography. His images published in magazines and presented in exhibitions in Bergamo, Rome, and in public c ollections such as the MAAM at Metropoliz—engage with themes of dream, eroticism, and theatrical energy.
In 2024, he won the “Sguardi Urbani” award and received recognition in competitions such as “Il cielo di Fabio.” His works have been exhibited at Spazio Arte Contemporanea (Milan), Radisson Belgrade, and in festivals like CRUSH in Rome, revealing a tension between detail and overarching narrative structures. His performative approach—using the camera as a body-actor—creates interpretive spaces that invite the audience to become co-protagonists of the image. He continues to live and work in Rome, exploring t he relationship between movement, light, and imagination.
