Domenico Ruccia, born in Bari in 1986, earned an MFA in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 2021, after obtaining a degree in Law. Active between Milan and Rome, he approaches painting as a tool to deconstruct time and reinterpret historical events with irony and depth. Notable solo exhibitions include Quel pazzo di Paolo Uccello (Milan, 2024) and Storie di altre storie (Viareggio, 2023), along with participation in the Rome Quadriennale and residencies such as Viafarini (2022). In his recent wo rks (2025), he employs oil and oil pastels, playfully exploring pop culture and iconographies from the 1960s –1980s. His poetics combine visual mechanisms and narrative, inviting the viewer to rediscover history through a personal lens.
