Emrah Önal, born in Istanbul in 1993, is a multidisciplinary sculptor and designer who graduated in 2018 and is currently enrolled in the Master’s program in Sculpture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, where he continues his academic research.
Since 2016, he has actively participated in sculpture symposia in Turkey —including the Kyzikos International Stone Sculpture Symposium and projects such as From Scrap to Art—and, since 2017, has been the recipient of an EKAV scholarship. He has taken part in major group exhibitions such as New Generation 5 and events at the Tüyap Fair (2018–19). In parallel, he works as a motion graphic designer and art director for studios including Cartoon Network, SinemaTV, TNT, and King—a combination of artistic practice and professional engagement in the visual field. His work interweaves formal research and technical experimentation, creating a dialogue between academia and applied design.
