Eymen Aktel was born in 1994 in Istanbul and graduated from Istanbul Kultur University before transferring to Marmara University to study Sculpture. A multidisciplinary artist and climate activist, founder of Extinction Rebellion Turkey, he integrates performance, painting, sculpture, and ceramics to address the ecological crisis. In 2013, the dummy Öteki Bosna won the Bursa Fotofest, and between 2020 and 2022 he took part in exhibitions and residencies in Turkey. In 2022, he participated in the group exhibition Açık Labirent at Bodrum Bodrum Kıyı Evleri, presenting ceramics inspired by Asian and Turkish art. In 2025, he joined the group show Yerçekimli Karanfil in Istanbul, focused on painting and sculpture with primitive echoes. He lives and works between Istanbul and Ayvalık, combining an archaic aesthetic with ecological and social themes.
