Lorenzo Cappella

Lorenzo Cappella was born in Ancona in January 1999 and graduated in 2018 in Audiovisual and Multimedia from the E. Mannucci Art High School. Since 2018, he has lived and worked in Rome, where in 2022 he earned his degree in Painting (RL3) from RUFA and is currently enrolled in the Master’s program in Fine Arts – Painting.
His research conceives painting as a tool to “break the surface of things” and probe deeper meanings. He has worked as a painting instructor, studio assistant at Studio Fabio Mauri, and technician at Lorcan O’Neill Gallery. Since 2022, he has been a member of the MAGTRE collective in Rome, organizing exhibitions and experimental projects, and has collaborated with KH Lab since 2020.
He has participated in projects such as YAG/Garage Italia (Lazio) and Giardini d’Arte di Via Caravaggio. His painting engages with surface, perceptual depth, and laboratory experimentation. He lives and works in Rome, continuing to emerge on the contemporary art scene.
