Nicole Tijoux, born in Santiago, Chile in 1981, lives and works in London. She studied at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and earned an MA from the University of Chile. She is known for her hyperrealist paintings depicting bodies immersed in water, exploring the “liquid universe” and the boundary between visibility and transformation. She has received scholarships, undertaken international residencies, and exhibited in Europe and South America.
