After earning a degree in Painting from the Fine Arts program at the University of Brighton, Soul now lives and works in London, where they pursued a postgraduate path at the Royal Drawing School as part of the “Drawing Year” program. Their artistic practice unfolds through the use of diverse materials, including handmade papers, pastels, textile surfaces, and, more recently, charcoal drawings and printmaking techniques.
Their work investigates the realms of the unconscious, dreaming, and daydreaming, exploring how these psychological phenomena can be perceived and rendered visible. They are currently producing a series of prints for a bespoke editorial project dedicated to chronic illness, alongside large charcoal drawings that stage dreamlike encounters imbued with a tension oscillating between violence and care.
