Vito Chianca

Vito Chianca was born in Ariano Irpino (AV) in 1992 and trained at the Liceo Artistico in Benevento. He later studied Painting in Urbino and earned a second -level degree in Visual Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. His work spans painting, mixed media, and ceramic sculpture, as demonstrated by series such as Oltre n.2 (2019, ceramic) and Riflessione (2015, mixed media). In 2015, he exhibited in the group show Shen. Capitolo I at Galleria E23 in Naples, and in 2023 he presented a solo exhibition t itled La Prima Pietra at the Norman Castle of Ariano Irpino, engaging in dialogue with the site’s historical walls. His installations merge with architecture, exploring the relationships between space, history, and visual language. In 2015, he took part in the collective exhibition Nascondere, origini in Benevento, presenting Riflessione—a work combining plaster, ceramic, and glass that investigates memory and personal vision. He is included in the YAG/Garage Italia – Campania e Lombardia project, a scouting initiative for young artists curated by YAG/Garage Pescara. He lives and works between Naples and Ariano Irpino, continuing to develop a personal visual language that blends materiality and space–time narrative.
