CAPPA and YAG/Garage are pleased to present the group exhibition FUORICROMIA as the final project of the Art Curator course.

Collettivo125, the name of the curatorial group composed of Petra Bellafante, Beatrice Ciocca, Isabella De Luca, Rossella Di Clemente, Miriam Di Francesco, Gloria Giansante, Anna Barbara Nardella, Daniele Piccirilli, and Giorgia Vitale, under the guidance of professionals in the field such as Fanny Borel, Paola Capata, Mandra Stella Cerrone, Ivan D’Alberto, Maria Letizia Paiato, Marcella Russo, and Roberto Sala , investigated the complex profession of the curator and explored the transversal themes related to this role, ultimately producing a full-fledged exhibition.

In line with the cultural policy of the YAG/Garage art gallery, which is aimed at promoting young artists, the course participants conceived an exhibition involving eight artists: Barbara Pinda, Dangyong Liu, David Dumon, Evgeniya Hristova, Mary Samele, Mirco Mascitelli, Rita Capuni, and Rossella Battistoni .

FUORICROMIA is the concept chosen by Collettivo125 for the works presented. The theme of black and white does not arise solely as a chromatic choice, but also as a desire to narrate the nuances that characterize both art and life.

In a historical moment in which everything is either “black” or “white,” art still manages to demonstrate that between these two tones there exists a multitude of shades. These variations should not be understood only from a chromatic point of view, but also from a cultural, social, and anthropological perspective. FUORICROMIA shows how nuances are far more stimulating than two univocal viewpoints: the selection of the works on display clearly demonstrates this richness.
