Alterazioni
YAG/Garage presents Alterazioni, an artistic and cultural project dedicated to reflecting on the theme of mental health, structured as an open call addressed to students regularly enrolled in Italian Academies of Fine Arts, both public and private, regardless of age, as well as to artists under 30 who have already graduated.
The project was born from a collaboration with twelve mental health centers active across many regions of Italy, from Sicily to Piedmont. Within these contexts, people receiving care were involved in the creation of artworks, now collected in a permanent digital archive. Alterazioni invites artists to engage with this body of work, fostering a dialogue between emerging artistic research and care practices, where art becomes a space for listening, connection, and transformation.
Almanacco YAG | Call for Applications
YAG/garage presents Almanacco YAG, a multi-year documentation and research project
structured as an annual open call addressed to Under 30 artists, starting with students enrolled in
the second-level (MA) programs of Italian Academies of Fine Arts. Almanacco YAG offers the
opportunity to become part of a permanent and constantly evolving digital archive, to be selected
for a group exhibition and, for three winners, to receive a dedicated studio visit and a critical text.
The initiative was created with the aim of documenting and enhancing emerging artistic research
over time, providing a space dedicated to collecting, sharing and disseminating new contemporary
art practices.
