Alessia Iacovazzi (Bari, 1998) is an emerging Apulian artist with an academic background in the visual arts. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, she began exhibiting during her studies, exploring conceptual photography and video art. Her poetics investigate abandoned places and collective identities, as in the photographic project Aedes presented in 2025 together with Raffaello Pio Iacovazzi, focused on architecture and memory. Alessia has been actively involved in curatorial projects: she participated in the Art Curator course organized by CAPPA and YAG, and was selected among the artists for the final exhibition Impuro – Sostare nell’insoluto (Pescara, 2023). In Impuro, she took part in the performance Tra il dire e il fare Osare by the Contempostranea Collective, contributing works on the theme of “impurity” and the undefined. Iacovazzi’s research, through collaborations and group exhibitions, combines a minimalist aesthetic with socio -cultural reflections, outlining the growth of a young author in the contemporary art scene.
