Dario Pruonto (born in 1992) trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and works between Milan and Turin. He is regarded as a key figure in Italian street poetry, blending writing, mark -making, and the urban context in his artistic practice. With projects such as Viavai (the world’s largest urban poem, 11,248 m² on a railway barrier in San Donato), he pushes beyond traditional boundaries between street art and installation.
His works—visual poems, stencils, murals, and performative actions—address themes such as incommunicability, borders, relationships, and memory, often created in dialogue with local communities. Recent highlights include the Taranto project Quali nostalgie stiamo preparando per il futuro? and his participation in residencies such as Istruzioni per l’uso del tempo presente in Turin.
Co-founder of Acronima, he experiments with workshops, laboratories, and podcasts, integrating urban art with social engagement. In 2025, he was awarded the Premio Artivisive San Fedele, reflecting on urban transformation through collaborative “poetic geol ogy.”
