Gina Tamborra (1998) is a visual artist and radical performer based in Altamura. She studied Decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari, where her academic training became intertwined with a personal journey shaped by eating disorders—an experience that has become both the driving force and the material of her artistic research.
Through performance, installation, illustration, and writing, she explores themes of mental health, corporeality, and the condition of women with an unflinching and uncompromising gaze.
Her work is at once intimate and political, vulnerable and incisive: an invitation to confrontation rather than consolation. She has exhibited in national exhibitions and has led artistic workshops in schools, libraries, and centres specialising in the treatment of eating disorders.
