Jay D. Facchinetti, the artistic name of Jailson D. Facchinetti, is an emerging Italian -Brazilian urban artist whose practice spans from street art to performance. In 2022, his mural work was awarded in Lombardy: the sketch Natura e tecnologia (“Nature and Technology”), created in collaboration with Giulia Dal Bon, was selected and painted for a street art competition in Merate, showcasing his talent in blending natural and futuristic elements. Facchinetti is a member of the Collettivo Contempostranea, with which he took part in the exhibition Impuro (Pescara, 2023), staging the collective performance Tra il dire e il fare… Osare (“Between Saying and Doing… Daring”). On that occasion, he presented works and actions that encouraged the audience t o reflect in unconventional ways, consistent with his experimental approach. His background includes graphic design, and he has produced artistic interventions in public spaces and festivals. On social media, he shares projects and work-in-progress, carrying forward a practice that merges social engagement, street art, and contemporary installation.
