Maria Neve Vallone

Maria Neve Vallone is a visual artist currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro. Her artistic research is rooted in the memory of places, emotional relationships, and an attentive listening to the landscape. Through painting and the use of material, she explores themes of identity, the body, silence, and boredom as a fertile space for reflection.
The earth itself becomes both a source of visual storytelling and a vehicle for evoking memory. Each work represents an autobiographical fragment and an act of attentive listening. She lives and works through a continuous process of reflection, research, and the pursuit of authentic human connection.
Originally from Zungri, Maria Neve's artistic journey draws its inspiration and vital energy from her most intimate memories. She retraces the paths, narrow streets, and woodlands that shaped her childhood, transforming nature—an enduring presence at the heart of her practice—into painterly material and a space for personal and collective remembrance.
