Martina Cioffi is a visual artist from Como, trained at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. She works primarily with site-specific installations and sculpture, with a particular focus on ceramics. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions, awards, and artist residencies.
In 2025, she was selected for the 63rd edition of the International Biennial of Contemporary Art Ceramics, exhibited at the MIC in Faenza. In 2024, she was awarded second place in the Giovanarte Prize at the Ricci Oddi Monumental Complex in Piacenza, curated by Chiara Canali, and took part in the Sulmona Prize curated by Ivan D’Alberto. In 2023, she was among the finalists of the E.ART.H Prize (Verona), with an exhibition curated by Treti Galaxie; she was selected for the San Fedele Prize in Milan; and she participated in the Arteamcup Prize at the Fortezza del Priamàr in Savona, where she received a special award.
Her research draws nourishment from a sense of wonder at the transformative and resilient capacities of plant organisms. It unfolds through a symbolic re-reading of the landscape and of our indissoluble bond with it. Her imagery seeks to evoke an ancestral connection with a powerful, generative, and fertile nature, not yet stripped of its magical breath, in the pursuit of a disturbing aesthetic.
Since 2020, she has focused predominantly on the use of ceramics, creating site-specific installations through this medium.
