Salvatore Corvo (born 1998) was born in Naples and earned a Master's degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples.
Convinced that painting still has much to say, his artistic research investigates both the support and the materials of the medium, seeking to create works that infuse painting with renewed vitality.
In a historical moment in which everything is constantly evolving, he believes that painting must also evolve and develop new forms of expression. His practice is primarily focused on the technical qualities of the canvas itself, exploring the fabric as an essential component of the artwork rather than a neutral support.
By carefully selecting different textiles, he creates works that establish a dialogue between the precision and inherent structure of the fabric and the expressive, handcrafted gesture of painting, bringing these two dimensions into direct conversation.
