Eva Fruci

Born in Lamezia Terme in 2002, Eva Fruci lives and works in Catanzaro, where she graduated in Decoration from the Academy of Fine Arts.

Her artistic research focuses on the human experience in its most fragile and liminal dimension, exploring memory as a fundamental act of existence and the gradual dissolution that accompanies the condition of being finite in both body and mind. Her work reflects on the inevitability of decay and the transience of human life.

Particular attention is devoted to mental processes and to the most intimate, obscure, and profound regions of the psyche, understood as spaces of stratification, repression, and re-emergence. Through a multidisciplinary practice encompassing performance, painting, installation, textile, and writing, she investigates the fractures and silences of the human mind, transforming them into expressive material.
Language—recurring and often central to her work—functions as a connective device, guiding her practice towards narratives that move from individual experience to a collective dimension. In 2025, she co-founded Collettivo 48 with Elia Valeo.
Her work thus develops a reflection on the political body, sensory perception, and the fragility of flesh and mind, placing presence and absence, materiality and dissolution in dialogue while questioning the unstable boundary between what endures and what is destined to disappear.
