Ivan D’Alberto was born in Pescara in 1979. An art historian and theorist of contemporary art, he is currently Director of YAG/garage. He served as Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Nocciano, Pescara (2009 2012). He has collaborated with Dartmouth University (Massachusetts, USA), the Uni versity of Ferrara, the University of Chieti–Pescara, and the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila. He taught Art Marketing at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples. Since 2011 he has been curator of CORPO – Festival of Performing Arts and founder of the Centro di Archiviazione e Promozione della Performing Art in Pescara.
He has curated numerous exhibitions, including Made in Abruzzo: regional video -art research (Milan, 2011), Integumenta Angelii: useful instructions for the soul and the body (Rome, 2013), audĭentĭa – the listening city (Rome, 2014), as well as several events in Venice during the Biennale (CORPO 2015; Vitraria Glass + A Museum, 2015; CORPO 2017, San Servolo Island; Young Artist in the Hotel, San Servolo Island, 2019).
He has collaborated with several specialized magazines, including Artribune, Juliet Art Magazine, and Segno. His publications include CORPO estraneo/straniero. History of Performing Arts in Abruzzo (Verdone Editions, 2015), Il terzo occhio (PrimeVie Editions, 2015), Tutto è iniziato prima (Di Felice Editions, 2017), Il corpo che abito. Silvio Maresca was born in Teramo in 1961 and graduated in Political Science from the University of Bologna “Alma Mater Studiorum.” He is CEO of Bluserena S.p.A., a leading Italian hospitality company. He is Managing Director of Carlo Maresca S.p.A., a group active for over forty years in tourism hospitality, residential and commercial real estate, and—since 2010—renewable energy. He is also Managing Director of Terme di Torre Canne S.R.L., a thermal spa recognized by the Italian National Health System, and President of My.Ho Casa S.R.L., a tourism company promoting the albergo diffuso model.
In the non-profit sector, he founded and chairs Etipublica, an association promoting public debate ( Proversi.it), open government (Openpolis), and regional public debate analysis (promisechecking.it). Through Bluserena S.p.A., since 2009 he has supported Permicro, a microcredit agency, opening branches in Pescara, Palermo, and Lecce. In 2018 he launched the Migrant Project, offering training and integration programs within his companies for migrants—an initiative that earned Bluserena the UNHCR award “Welcome. Working for the Integration of Refugees.”
His interest in art led him, in 2017 through Carlo Maresca S.p.A., to create I Giardini d’Arte di via Caravaggio, a competition open to young artists from Italian Academies of Fine Arts, including an exhibition in the company’s gardens in Pescara. In 2018 this initiative was joined by YAG/garage (Young Artists Gallery), a project dedicated to promoting young artists, of which Silvio Maresca is founder and administrator. His publications include Le Doppiezze dell’Occidente (Aracne Editrice, 2020) and Socialtotalitarismo (Armando Editore, 2021).

Maila Buglioni (Rome, 1982 – lives and works in Rome) is an art historian and curator. After obtaining her Master’s degree in Contemporary Art History at La Sapienza University of Rome, she completed an internship as an Educational Operator at the MAXXI Educational Depa rtment. She collaborated with Barbara Martusciello on the Book Corner Arti promoted by Art A Part of Cult(ure); with MEMORIE URBANE Street Art Festival in Gaeta and Terracina (2013); and with Galleria Cinica at Palazzo Lucarini Contemporary (Trevi, PG).
She was part of the curatorial collective ARTNOISE, contributing to exhibitions, projects, and its web magazine. She has collaborated with various specialized art journals and participated in the curatorial residency a,m,o arte, Marche, oltre. She is the founder and curator of APPIA ANTICA ART PROJECT, a site-specific exhibition program along Rome’s Appian Way.
She has curated numerous exhibitions of emerging artists nationwide and has also exhibited as an artist. Since 2019 she has participated in conferences on contemporary art education. She writes regularly for Rivista Segno and Segnonline, where she is deputy editor-in-chief.

Alessandra Arnò is an artist, curator, Art Media lecturer, and Creative Advisor. She is co -founder and art director of Visualcontainer Italian Videoart Platform (2008), which includes Italy’s first video art distributor, VisualcontainerTV International Videoart Web Channel (2009), and [.BOX] Videoart Project Space in Milan (2010).
Since 2008 she has worked as art director, curator, and researcher on audiovisual experimental practices and new media, collaborating with international festivals, museums, universities, and cul tural institutions worldwide, representing and curating over 80 Italian and international artists. Frequently invited to conferences and talks, she has also pursued a multimedia artistic practice since 2000, focusing on digital media aesthetics and self-representation in media. Since 2014 she has taught Multimedia Languages and Audiovisual Theories at ACME – European Academy of Fine Arts of the Media in Novara.

Martina Sconci, art historian and freelance curator, was born in L’Aquila and graduated in Cultural and Environmental Heritage in 2003 with a thesis on Joseph Beuys in Italy. In 2008 she earned a Master’s degree at La Sapienza University of Rome with a research thesis titled Rome 2002–2007: young artists, new spaces, new journals.
She worked in Rome with contemporary art galleries and as Fine Arts Assistant Research at the British School at Rome (2009–2010), later serving as gallery manager in London at the Charlie Smith London Gallery. Since returning to L’Aquila in 2011, she has been Artistic Director of MU.SP.A.C. – Museo Sperimentale d’Arte Contemporanea. She has curated numerous exhibitions and written critical texts for catalogs and art magazines. Since 2017 she has taught Museology and Exhibition Design at the Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila and, since 2021, has been a board member of MUNDA – National Museum of Abruzzo.
ABRUZZO
Nicoletta Provenzano, art historian and curator, writes for Lonely Planet Magazine Italia, Exibart, Rivista Segno, Espoarte, and La città immaginaria. She collaborates with public and private art spaces and has curated numerous exhibitions. Between 2018 and 2019 she served as artistic curator for the Sud Lux cluster within the Fronte della Cultura project of Matera 2019 – European Capital of Culture.
From 2014 to 2018 she worked within Artis S.n.c. and the curatorial group GMGProgettoCultura on the management and curatorship of the Fintecna art collection (Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group), collaborating with major Italian institutions. She has also worked on projects connecting art, science, and industry with museums, universities, and cultural associations.
Also with the GMGProgettoCultura group, collaborations include: Munus S.r.l.; the Museo Civico di Palazzo della Penna, 2018 – Perugia; the 11th edition of Culinaria, 2018, WeGil – Rome; the Associazione Cultura Italiae on the occasion of Maker Faire Rome 2017, Nuova Fiera di Roma; and the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, with exhibitions and conferences exploring the dialogue between art and science on the occasion of IYL 2015.
